New Recipe Sunday

Almost every Sunday, I try a new recipe. Some from Pinterest, some from Allrecipes.com. Some from an actual cookbook, gasp, shock, awe....... Wait, am I on the wrong blog? Nope. This week's recipe was a trial run for something I wanted to try for our trip. It has received 3 thumbs up. (Bob, Alex and myself) But, that's all I'm going to tell you now. You will have to wait for the trip to find out what it is. Good times. I'm such a tease!!! How many days?!?!?!

The room we are in is called a 2 Bedroom Lock-off. It is a combination of a Studio and a 1 Bedroom. In my mind, that should mean we have 2 partial kitchens? And although some of the rooms do not have an outside wall with windows, we will have plenty of space with approx 1200 sq feet. That is comparable to the upstairs of our house which is 1234.

Location, Location, Location

A fun thing to do is put the hotel address into google maps and search nearby things such as gas stations, pizza places or bars. It will show the proximity to the hotel and your search. For instance, there are 2102 bars near the hotel. If you would like to play with it yourself, the hotel address is: 209 Magazine St, 70130. Enjoy!

One of the most exciting possible savings I've found was:

Free Walk-Up times for the Meditation Garden.
There is a special period of time for free admission walk-up visits to the Meditation Garden at Graceland, where the grave sites of Elvis and members of his family are located. Walk-up times are daily from 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.

A tip I was given....

I heard recently that evenings don't even start in New Orleans until 11pm. The tip I was given was to nap late afternoon/early evening and go out til dawn. Sounds a bit like what we do in Vegas. :) Party On!!!!!!
